Massage Therapy

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage is the practice of rubbing and kneading the body using the hands. During a massage, a trained massage therapist will apply gentle or strong pressure to the muscles and joints of the body to ease pain and tension.

When massage is used to improve someone’s health, it’s known as Massage Therapy.

Massage Therapy is highly recommended to reduce stress and anxiety, stop pain, relax muscles and rehabilitate injuries. For healthy people with no chronic conditions, massage can also be enjoyed too.

Our therapists are qualified, providing you with safe and successful treatments. They are trained in various massage techniques.

Our treatment rooms are soothing, calming, and have a peaceful ambiance.

Our Remedial Massage therapy treatment is recognised by most health funds. Please check with your insurer before making a booking. Our clinic has HICAPS available for payment and claims processing.

You can book your appointment by phone or online.

How to prepare for a massage?

Make sure you are hydrated before you go to your massage. This will help flush released toxins out. Plan to wear or at least bring loose comfortable clothing with you. Visit the bathroom so you don’t have to go mid treatment. Most importantly, take a minute to stop and think about your body- what is it that you want treated? Communicating with your therapist will help you get the most out of your session.

At the massage appointment

Your therapist will go through a brief consultation with you. This is your opportunity to discuss what you would like treated, and to inform them of your relevant medial history.

You will be given time and privacy to set yourself up on the massage table. During the session, it’s important to communicate your wants with your therapist. We are here to help you, and appreciate your feedback.

Types of massages

We offer different types of massages to help with different needs. Relaxation massages are available for those wanting to unwind and de-stress, and stronger therapeutic massages are available for those who want someone “to get in there and release it”.
